ATLANTA -- FOX 5 news anchor Amanda Davis was arrested early Sunday for driving under the influence near Piedmont Park.
Atlanta Police Sgt.Gregory Lyon said Davis was arrested at around midnight after an accident on Piedmont Avenue near 14thStreet. He saidthe crash scene suggestedDavis was driving northbound in a southbound lane when her green Fiatcollided head on with ablack Toyota.

"Upon speaking with both drivers, the officer noticed an odor of alcohol emanating from Ms. Davis' person,"Sgt. Lyon said in a statement. "He asked her if she had been drinking, to which she did respond in the affirmative."
Lyon said Davis refused to submit to a field sobriety testand the State Administered Chemical Test, but a DUI officer found probable cause to arrest her forimpaired driving.
In addition to DUI, Davis was also charged withreckless driving and failure to maintain lane.Her license was confiscated and she was taken tojail, according to Lyon.
Davis was also arrested for driving under the influence, speeding and failing to maintain lane in December 1991.
