COBB COUNTY, Ga. — One person is dead and another is hurt following a shooting at a Cobb County apartment complex, according to police on Wednesday.
Cobb County Police Department said officers were sent to 100 Akers Ridge Dr. SE, the address of the Gables Mills Apartments, regarding a shooting.
When officers arrived, two people were shot, and police said one person, later identified as William Brown, 47, was dead. The other person, only identified as a woman, was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital for treatment for a gunshot wound.
Cobb Police said their Major Crimes Unit was responding to the scene to continue their investigation, adding that more information would be available later on March 20.
No other details were released and the police department said there was no danger to the public.
