Two teenage boys have been taking into custody after state agents found "substantiated" evidence that they were planning a school shooting.
Officials at Wilkes County Comprehensive High School in east Georgia first discovered the potential threat on Tuesday along with information that two students were behind it. With the help of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the Wilkes County Sheriff's Office began their search for more clues and eventually found evidence that backed up what they'd already discovered.
As a result, two teen boys - one 15-years-old and the other 14-years-old - were arrested and charged with one felony count each of terroristic threats and acts. The two are now being held at the Regional Youth Detention Center in Washington, Georgia.
Once the investigation is completed, findings will be turned over to the Toombs Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office for prosecution.
