ATLANTA — A man wanted for murder is now wanted in connection to a fatal Griffin gas station shooting on Tuesday morning, according to police.

It happened at 930 W. Taylor St., which, according to Google Maps, is the address of a Shell gas station. The Giffin Police Department said officers were dispatched after getting a call regarding a person being shot around 1:54 a.m.

Officers said when they arrived, a man was found shot near the video gaming machines. He was taken to Spalding Regional, where police said he later died.

The suspect, identified by police as 21-year-old My'Keion Yates, is wanted on outstanding warrants for malice murder along with other charges. Police provided a photo taken from a gas station surveillance video of Yates and added that's what he was last seen wearing.

Police also released a photo of what he is believed to be driving, a black 2012 Nissan Altima with Georgia Tag SEW9844.

Yates is considered armed and dangerous; anyone who comes into contact with him is directed to call law enforcement immediately. Giffin Police said the victim's name would not be released at this time.
