DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — When police arrived at the scene of a shooting in DeKalb County on Saturday, they found a man clinging to life. What they didn't find, however, was his attacker.

Police said they were called to the 5300 block of Nader Court - a Stone Mountain address south of the city - just before 9 p.m. There, they found a 28-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Police spokesperson J.D. Spencer said the man was taken to an area hospital in serious condition. It's unclear what led up to the shooting or if investigators have any leads on a possible shooter. As of 1 a.m. Sunday, he said police were still investigating.

The victim's name hasn't been released.
