GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Police say an 18-year-old woman was found dead early Friday morning after officers in Gwinnett County responded to a house party.
The Gwinnett County Police Department told 11Alive the victim is 18 years old.
GCPD said officers had responded to a home on Chance Lane shortly after 1 a.m. "in reference to a person shot."
"Officers cleared the residence and discovered one deceased female," a GCPD post on X stated. "Homicide detectives responded along with Crime Scene Investigators to process the scene and gather information. If anyone has any information to share in this case, please contact GCPD detectives at 770.513.5300. To remain anonymous, tipsters should contact Crime Stoppers at 404.577.8477."
There were no further details immediately available. The post did not specify if the woman was indeed found shot or if there might be some other cause of death.
