NORCROSS, Ga. — Homicide detectives are investigating a suspicious death in Gwinnett County after a welfare check uncovered one man dead and another clinging to life on Sunday.
Gwinnett Police said they were already at the Motel 6 location at 6015 Oakbrook Parkway outside of Norcross on an unrelated call when a member of the staff asked them to check a particular room.
Once inside, they found one man already dead from injuries and another who was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Beyond that, however, police are releasing few details, citing an ongoing investigation.
Police haven't released the names of the two men or the types of injuries they sustained. It's also not yet clear if they are searching for a suspect at this time.
