ATLANTA — There is a heavy law enforcement presence at a Chevron gas station off Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway in northwest Atlanta on Friday night.
Atlanta Police said officers responded to a person shot call at 2650 Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway, which is near the Chevron, a U-Haul rental building and a liquor store. When they arrived, they saw a man who had been shot. Police said he was "alert, conscious and breathing."
One person was detained at the scene, police said. Details are limited about what exactly happened.
11Alive's Cody Alcorn is at the scene and said there are multiple Atlanta Police squad cars, Fulton County Sheriff's Office vehicles and Grady first responders at the scene. It also appears there are multiple areas with crime scene tape.
