Kennesaw man charged in Gwinnett County double homicide

Police said they believe the shooting was drug-related.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — Police have arrested and charged a 19-year-old man with murder in connection with a double homicide in unincorporated Gwinnett County near Lawrenceville last Thursday night.

Officers arrested Steven Tran of Kennesaw. He has been charged with two counts of felony murder and three counts of aggravated assault in connection with the shooting death of two men.

Julian Talbo, 20, from Lawrenceville and An Ha, 23, from Grayson, were both found shot to death by Gwinnett County Police officers at a home in the 1800 block of Racquet Club Circle after 8 p.m. on Thursday.

A person described by investigators as a friend of at least one of the victims had returned to the home after briefly stepping out and discovered the bodies of the men and called 911.

Homicide investigators said the motive for the shooting appears to be drug-related.

Tran was transported to the Gwinnett County Jail following his arrest on Friday.
