LAGRANGE, Ga. — A man was shot and killed early Wednesday night in LaGrange, police said.
According to the LaGrange Police Department, the victim was identified as Jonathan Daniel. The department said officers responded to a home on Garfield Street, where they found that "Daniel had suffered a gunshot wound and was later pronounced deceased."
The investigation by detectives revealed that Daniel and another suspect, Antonio Stephens, tried to rob a man at gunpoint. Police said Daniel pointed his gun at the victim, which is when the victim pulled out a gun and shot Daniel, killing him.
Stephens was arrested on Thursday and charged with felony murder in the death of Daniel, police said.
A LaGrange Police statement added: "This investigation is ongoing.
