Landlord shot after evicting tenant in Atlanta, police say

ATLANTA — A landlord is recovering after being shot by a previous tenant in southeast Atlanta on Tuesday afternoon. 

Around 4 p.m., police responded to a residence in the 2800 block of Macon Drive and found a man who had been shot multiple times. Police said he was alert and breathing and transported to the hospital for treatment.

The victim was able to tell officers that the suspect was a man he had recently evicted from the home. He said the man had been threatening to shoot him since the eviction. 

Police have not released any information on the suspect's identity or if he is in custody. 

The incident remains under investigation.
