Tuesday morning, LaGrange Police officers responded to reports of an unwanted person trying to enter a home in the 300 block of Front Street.
When they arrived shortly before 10 a.m., they spoke with Rika Morris, who was wet and having a difficult time breathing.
Officers said the suspect, Allen Strozier fled just as they arrived at the home.
Morris told officers that Strozier had forced his way into the home without her consent.
He then dragged her outside, pushed her into the pool and held her head underwater. As a result, she was unable to breathe for several seconds.
Investigators said warrants have been issued for Strozier for aggravated assault, burglary, kidnapping and third-degree cruelty to a child.
