ATLANTA — A man is dead, and another is facing murder charges after a fatal shooting in Powder Springs Wednesday night, according to police.
Officers responded to the area near the Lost Lakes neighborhood off Shipp Road around 7:30 p.m. and found Fabrice Robelin, 19, with a gunshot wound to the head and neck area. Robelin was pronounced dead at the scene.
Around the same time, police received a 911 call stating that a man ran to a home in a nearby neighborhood around Nectar Drive, saying he had shot someone. Police responded and arrested Coledye Warnock, 18, in the area.
Authorities believe Warnock and the victim had gotten into an argument that led to a fight, which allegedly led to him shooting Robelin.
Warnock is charged with murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm, tampering with evidence, possession of an altered firearm and affray.
Police said the incident remains under investigation, and more arrests could be forthcoming.
