Man arrested for allegedly stabbing man in the stomach

HALL COUNTY, Ga. — Police arrested a man for allegedly stabbing another man with a knife in his stomach.

On Aug. 11, investigators with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office arrested Gordy Ronald Orr, 54, of Flowery Branch, after responding to a home located in the 6900 block of Deaton Henry Road.

Deputies said Orr was armed with a knife when he aggressively approached an adult male, who has not been identified, and stabbed him in the abdomen. Deputies said the victim defended himself after being stabbed.

The victim was seriously injured and was taken to the hospital.

Orr was charged with aggravated assault and disorderly conduct misdemeanor. He was granted bond for the disorderly conduct charge in the amount of $1,300. Bond has not been set at this time for the aggravated assault charge.

Orr remains in custody at the Hall County Jail.
