MARIETTA, Ga. — A Marietta man is facing drug trafficking charges after police discovered 150 pounds of liquid methamphetamine hidden in the gas tank of a tractor-trailer.
Rogelio Garcia-Alvarado, who operates Butler Street Automotive in Marietta, is accused of bringing the tractor-trailer to the auto body shop on Jan. 10. Police agents saw him unload material from the tractor-trailer that is used to convert methamphetamine oil into crystal meth, according to the arrest warrant from the Cobb County Sheriff.
Police said 150 pounds of liquid methamphetamine can produce about 600 pounds of crystal meth.
