Man charged with murder after man found shot to death on Thanksgiving, Kennesaw police say

Dain Ryner, 34, is charged with felony murder in connection to the shooting.

KENNESAW, Ga. — A man is behind bars after a person was found shot to death in Kennesaw in the early hours of Thanksgiving morning. 

Just after 3 a.m., police responded to Moon Station Rd and found 35-year-old Casey Plumb, of Acworth, lying dead in the roadway with apparent gunshot wounds.

Following an investigation, using technology and witness statements, detectives identified 34-year-old Dain Ryner, of Powder Springs, as the suspect. Ryner was apprehended and faces charges including felony murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and aggravated assault, according to the Kennesaw Police Department.

It's unknown what led up to the shooting at this time. 

Ryner is being held without bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
