LAKE WALES, Fla. -- Two men were arrested after they used a medical diversion to steal from a Walmart in Central Florida.
According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, Tarus Scott and Genard Dupree teamed up Tuesday to steal expensive toys, including a motorized Barbie car, a Barbie Glam vacation house and a Leap Frog tablet.
But it's how they stole $369 worth of toys that makes this story a little different.
As seen in the surveillance video below (around the 3:30 mark), Dupree falls to the ground clutching his chest to fake a heart attack. Meanwhile, Scott wheels the toys out the front entrance while shoppers and the security guard are distracted.
Once Scott is out, Dupree stands back up and walks out, still holding his chest. Together they left in a silver SUV, police say.
Both suspects were positively identified and arrested. They are both in the Polk County Jail, charged with grand theft.
