MCDONOUGH, Ga. — A Henry County man will spend at least the next 40 years in prison for molesting a teenage girl in his home in 2016.
Richard Hayes, 48, pleaded guilty to charges of aggravated child molestation, as well as 10 counts of sexual exploitation of children Tuesday in the Henry County Superior Court.
Hayes was arrested in August 2016 after he performed oral sex on a teenager and touched her genitals. Investigators also found explicit images on Hayes' home computer.
The judge sentenced Hayes to a life sentence with 20 years to serve for the child molestation case, as well as a 50 year sentence with 20 years to serve on the child pornography case. Hayes must also register as a sex offender.
