ATLANTA — A man is dead after he was fatally shot Sunday night at a southwest Atlanta apartment complex, according to police.
APD said the shooting happened at 1993 Bent Creek Road SW, the address of The Park at Castleton apartment complex in the Campbellton Road neighborhood.
When officers arrived at the scene, they said they found the man suffering from a gunshot wound and critically injured. He was rushed to Grady Hospital where he later died, police said. On Monday, the Fulton County medical examiner's office identified him as 23-year-old Ji Hadd Mwaniki.
Police said that he was shot during an "escalated dispute." It is unclear if authorities have identified a suspect.
