DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. – A man was shot in the leg after a dating app meet-up went wrong.
On March 11, the 19-year-old victim rode in the car from Cobb County to Willowick Drive in Lithonia with a woman he recently met on a dating app.
DeKalb County police said once on Willowick Drive, the two got out of the car and walked into a nearby wood line together where they were met by two black males. The two suspects then robbed the victim of two cell phones and money.
One suspect gave the woman a gun and she shot the victim in the leg. The three then fled the scene.
The victim stumbled to a nearby home where the police were called. He was transported to the hospital and is in stable condition.
