A man was shot and killed early Thursday morning on MLK Jr. Dr. in Atlanta.
It happened adjacent to the Westhaven neighborhood, down the road from the Hamilton E. Holmes MARTA station at roughly the intersection of MLK Jr. Dr. and Peyton Rd.
There were few immediate details available on the victim, who was described as a male in his 30s. Police said he had not yet been identified.
Police said they believe the man's death may be connected to a stabbing that happened around the same time in the area. The stabbing victim was taken to the hospital.
"Preliminary investigation indicated that the two incidents may be related, and Homicide detectives are working to determine the circumstances that led to the incident," a police statement said.
