Man shot, killed early Tuesday morning near gas station in DeKalb County, police say

DeKalb County Police responded to a gas station early Tuesday morning where a man had been shot.

DECATUR, Ga. — A man was shot and killed near a gas station in DeKalb County early Tuesday morning, police said.

Officers responded just before 2 a.m. to 4275 Glenwood Road in Decatur, the address of a Circle K gas station, in response to a call of a person shot.

When officers got there, they said the victim had gone inside the gas station store to seek help after being shot. First responders rushed the man to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries, police said.

It’s unclear at this time if the man was shot at the Circle K gas station. 11Alive is still working to learn what led up to the shooting or if a suspect is in custody.
