DECATUR, Ga. — A man was shot and killed at a home in Decatur on Tuesday afternoon and a suspect is now behind bars, police said.
Officers with Decatur Police responded to a home along Feld Avenue around 5:55 p.m. after receiving a call about a person shot. They found a man with a gunshot wound when they got there.
Police said the man was rushed to the hospital, where he unfortunately died from his injuries. Officers arrested 40-year-old Demetrius Roberson of Decatur at the scene. Police said the victim and the suspect knew each other.
Roberson was charged with malice murder, possession of firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to police. He was booked into the DeKalb County Jail.
