Man shot, killed outside of Buckhead club

Officials could not confirm whether the incident started inside of the club, only that it happened in the parking lot of the club.

ATLANTA — One man is dead Friday morning after police said he was shot and killed in the parking lot of a Buckhead club.

It happened off Tula Street at the Buckhead Lofts around 3 a.m., police said.

Lt. Andrea Webster said officials believe the 23-year-old unidentified man was involved in a dispute that led to a gun fight with another group or shooter.

They said they believe there were witnesses and they are working to get in touch with the club employees later in the morning. Officials could not confirm whether the incident started inside of the club, only that it happened in the parking lot of the club.

His friend was able to drive him to the hospital after the shooting, where he later died, according to officials.
