LOVEJOY, Ga. — Investigators are asking the public for help after a man was shot in the head and killed at a Lovejoy senior living community on Nov. 30.
Jahmein Askew was shot and killed on Nov. 30 shortly before 1 a.m. at the Bear Creek Senior Village Community in the City of Lovejoy, authorities said.
Officers were told by 911 dispatch to investigate a loud noise, and when they arrived, they said they found Askew with a gunshot wound to his head. Askew was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators believe Askew had opened the door to speak with someone outside, as there were no signs of a struggle outside or inside the home.
