JACKSON, Georgia — One man was killed and two were injured in a shooting in Jackson on July 14, according to a Georgia Bureau of Investigation press release.
The Butts County Sheriff's Office responded to a shooting during an event at a location on Peoples Road at approximately 1 a.m. Jason Maughon, 44, had been shot and was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead. Two other individuals were shot and received non-life-threatening injuries.
According to Maughon's father, Dan Maughon, the event where the shooting took place was a wedding.
No arrests have been made, the GBI says.
