ATLANTA — Outside of Phipps Plaza in Buckhead, police said a man was shot multiple times overnight Friday.
It happened in the parking lot, with the Atlanta Police Department stating that the call came in around 2 a.m. about the incident. When officers arrived, a 26-year-old man was found shot several times in both legs.
Police said he was expected to be okay and was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. During their initial investigation, APD said two people appeared to have left the AMC movie theater within the mall and gotten into an argument.
Police said the argument escalated to gunfire but stated they still don't know if the two knew each other.
Officers did not release any other information, but they added that no arrests had been made in the case.
