CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — The Clayton County Sheriff's Office is actively searching for an "armed and dangerous" suspect near the city of Lovejoy, the department said on Tuesday night.
Deputies with the sheriff's office alerted the public that they, along with the Lovejoy Police Department, are searching for Cornelius Davis in the area of Chatham Drive and Dougherty Place. Davis is wanted for aggravated assault, deputies said.
Sheriff Levon Allen has warned all residents to stay inside while the manhunt for the suspect continues. If you see the suspect, do not approach him and call 911.
Residents are asked to avoid the area until further notice.
