Police searching for white Ford F-150 in Marietta hit-and-run

A 40-year-old man was walking along Delk Road on Sunday night when he was struck by a white truck that left the scene.

MARIETTA, Ga. — A Marietta man is in critical condition, police say, after he was hit by a truck while he walked along Delk Road on Sunday night.

According to a public release from the Marietta Police Department, 40-year-old Oscar Hernandez was struck around 11:38 p.m. near the entrance to I-75.

Police believe he was hit by a white 1995 Ford F-150.

"The driver of the Ford failed to remain at the scene and did not call 911 or attempt to render any aid. The Ford F-150 was last seen entering I-75 northbound from Delk Road," the release stated.

The incident is currently being investigated by MPD's Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Unit. 

"The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact Officer K. Bedford at 770-794-5364," Marietta Police said.
