ATLANTA — Police said a group of masked young men smashed gaming machines with sledgehammers and stole money at a convenience store -- now investigators are working to track them down.
Atlanta Police Department officers shared photos of the suspected thieves, hoping the public can help.
The scheme unfolded last Friday, June 23 at a business along MLK Jr. Drive SW. The address provided by the police points to an Essential Market, which neighbors other businesses as well.
Police said "four male suspects entered the location with masks and sledgehammers" and broke into the gaming machines and took money out of them. Two of the suspects acted as lookouts during the heist, according to authorities.
Photos of the suspects and the suspected getaway vehicles are pictured below and were provided by APD.
