DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - A mother is grieving after her 3-year-old child was shot and killed as she drove down a DeKalb County street.
Roshanda Craig was driving down Eastland Road late Sunday night when a gray Dodge Charger pulled up next to her moving car. She then saw one of the people in the vehicle pull out what she thought was a paintball gun.
Before she knew it, she heard a very real gunshot.
“My baby was asleep, my baby was asleep,” Craig said. “I saw the paint gun first. I kind of got scared and I couldn't move and then they just shot my baby. I heard a gunshot. "
She kept driving down Eastland Road, then turned on Bouldercrest Road. At some point, she looked back and her world fell apart.
"When I turned around, my baby was bleeding," she said.
The bullet had hit T'Rhigi.

An ambulance rushed T'Rhigi to the hospital where he later died.
Hours after, while speaking with 11Alive's Joe Henke, she called out, “Please help me. My baby. Please help me. Please help me.”
The boy had just turned 3 last week. Now, his mother is planning the funeral of her only child.
Police are searching for a possibly newer model, gray Dodge Charger with a drive-out tag and multiple suspects.
“It’s a tragic incident,” said DeKalb Chief of Police James Conroy.
Police have not said if they believe the shooting was targeted or if it was random.
If anyone has any information about this incident, they are asked to please contact DeKalb Police at 404-724-7850 or call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
