New Jersey murder suspect believed to be in metro Atlanta

A man suspected in a New Jersey murder is believed to be in metro Atlanta.

According to the FBI, Dennis M. Cunningham, aka Muhamad, 48, has been charged in the murder of Dino Bermudez, 34, which happened earlier this year.

Cunningham is described as a black male, 6’2”, and weighing 215 pounds. Cunningham has family in the Douglasville area but also has ties to Jessup, Ga., as well.

The FBI has also charged Cunningham with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, a federal crime.

According to police, around 12:30 pm on May 12, 2017, in Irvington N.J., police were called to a residence with reports of shots having been fired. Bermudez was found on the home's front porch with gunshot wounds to his left thigh. Bermudez was transported to the hospital but was subsequently died of his wounds.
