ATLANTA — A SWAT team has been activated following a deadly shooting near a southwest Atlanta apartment complex Saturday morning, according to police.
Atlanta Police Department said they responded to a report of a shooting at 1240 Oakland Drive, the address for the Oakland Park Townhomes, regarding a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a person who had been shot. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.
Officers said the suspect has now barricaded themselves inside the complex, and the department has called a SWAT team out. The scene remains active as investigators gather details.
