ATLANTA — One person is dead after a shooting at the MARTA Arts Center station in Atlanta on Sunday night, police said.
According to MARTA Police, a protective specialist was on patrol when they heard the sound of gun shots coming from the bus loop at the station, which is at 1255 W Peachtree Street NE.
Officers then responded to the area and rendered aid to a victim. That person was sent to the hospital and later was pronounced dead, police said. The person who died has not yet been identified.
Police are still searching for a suspect, and this is an active investigation.
