ATLANTA — A person was shot and killed in northwest Atlanta on Sunday evening, police said.
According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers responded to a report of a person shot around the 600 block of Travis Street NW shortly before 8 p.m. This is in the English Avenue neighborhood of Atlanta.
When they arrived, they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds who was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Homicide Unit Investigators responded to the scene and are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Preliminary information reveals that two men arrived at a parking lot and got into a fight before one man brandished a firearm -- shooting and killing another, police said. APD also stated that a suspect in the incident is still outstanding.
