1 shot, killed in Clayton County, police say | What we know

No arrests have been made at this time, police said.

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Police are investigating after a person was shot and killed in Clayton County late Wednesday night. 

According to Clayton County Police, officers responded to the 8400 block of Moultrie Drive shortly after 11:40 p.m. on Wednesday in reference to a person shot. When they arrived, officers found one male with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The age or identity of the person who died is currently unknown. This is an active investigation, and no arrests have been made at this time, police said.
