No threat after investigation at Arlington Christian School, South Fulton Police say

South Fulton Police said their investigation revealed a 14-year-old student from the school had called 911, which prompted their response.

ATLANTA — Police with the City of South Fulton investigated threats regarding a person with a gun at Arlington Christian School Wednesday. 

Several law enforcement agencies responded to the school along Ridge Road in Fairburn. The private Christian school serves children K-12.

11Alive SkyTracker flew over the scene, where multiple police vehicles could be spotted.

After searching the school, authorities said no suspicious individuals or weapons were found on campus. Officers added there were no injuries reported among students and staff. 

South Fulton Police said their investigation revealed a 14-year-old student from the school had called 911, which prompted their response. 

"For the well-being and safety of the student, they were escorted to a nearby hospital for medical attention," the police department said in a statement. 

South Fulton Police added the safety of students and the community remains their top priority. 

"We are grateful for the rapid response and collaboration between law enforcement agencies and the school's administration during this incident," the police department said.
