ATLANTA — The Atlanta Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a witness to a fatal shooting. That witness also happens to be known for appearances on popular reality show "Love And Hip Hop Atlanta."
According to Atlanta police, Lyndon Akhil Smith, who goes by “Sas” on the VH1 show, witnessed a shooting that happened on the night of Aug. 27.
Around 11:30 p.m., officers responded to calls of a person shot in the head in the parking lot of a gas station in the 3200 block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. First responders took the man to Grady Hospital in critical condition.

But while officers were investigating that scene, they got another call to a car accident a short distance away, at the on-ramp of I-285 at Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. When they got there, they found the driver of the car shot. He died later as a result of his injuries.
After an investigation, police said it appears that the driver of the car was in the same parking lot off of Martin Luther King Jr Drive when the first shooting happened. Police said he tried to drive away from the scene, but in the process, police said he careened across a grassy field, jumped a curb and hit an oncoming car.
Meanwhile, investigators believe there were several people in the parking lot of the gas station when the shooting happened. They think Smith may have witnessed the shooting and that he may have information related to the case. They're asking anyone who knows where he is to contact Crime Stoppers tip line at 404-577-TIPS (8477) or call Atlanta police.
Tipsters can remain anonymous and could be eligible for reward of up to $2,000 for the arrest and indictment of a suspect in the case.
