SOUTH FULTON, Ga. — South Fulton Police are investigating after an argument turned into one person shot around a Waffle House on Tuesday evening.

According to police, officers responded to a person shot call at 5310 Campbellton Fairburn Road, which is a location of a Waffle House, shortly before 8 p.m. It is unknown if the shooting actually happened inside the restaurant.

Police said initial information suggests that a fight broke out between two people -- resulting in one person being shot, police said. That person was rushed to a hospital, and their condition is currently unknown.

The suspect left the area -- running into the woodline behind a Publix in the area, police said. South Fulton Police officers, along with Union City Police Officers, are actively searching the area to find the suspect.
