POWDER SPRINGS, Ga. — Police are investigating a murder and attempted suicide shooting in Cobb County.
Around noon, officers responded to a home in the 3300 block of Forest Hill Road in Powder Springs and found a woman and man suffering from gunshot wounds.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and the man was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in critical condition. Police believe the man shot himself after fatally shooting the woman.
Cobb County Police also responded to assist Powder Springs police with the ongoing investigation.
