HOUSTON — A robbery victim who was pistol-whipped and had seven teeth knocked out was shocked to learn his girlfriend was a suspect in the case.

Ralph Ethridge, 28, was left beaten and bruised by the four masked robbers who took money and several other items from his apartment in June.

Ethridge told deputies one suspect said, "Kill him. Kill him."

Ethridge heard his girlfriend, Kimberly Mills, scream at one point. When he went downstairs, Mills was gone. He thought she'd been kidnapped by the robbers. All of the belongings she kept at Ethridge's apartment also were gone.

The story didn't add up when Harris County Sheriff's deputies began investigating. They found no signs of forced entry. A neighbor told deputies she saw Mills and another woman loading items into a white pickup truck.

According to court documents, Mills, 28, changed her story several times.

She was charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

Police are searching for the other people involved.

Mills is being held in the Harris County Jail on $30,000 bond. Online jail records didn't indicate an attorney.
