"Initial information is the victim had just walked out of the gas station when he was shot," DeKalb Police said.
Homicide detectives are investigating what led up to the shooting. No suspect has been taken into custody at this time. However, police released surveillance images of the believed killers.
The victim's mother said police think it was an attempted robbery.
"It was a random act. Someone walked up to him and I guess they thought he might've had a gun in his pocket and tried to rob him," Cadedra Bryant said.
