FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Authorities are asking for the public to take a good look at doorbell video that shows a woman getting robbed, then thrown to the ground as she tries to open her front door.
According to a Crime Stoppers post, the 69-year-old woman had just gotten back to her home on Vernier Drive in South Fulton from grocery shopping, Monday night.
Surveillance video from her doorbell shows her trying to unlock her front door. As she does so, an unknown man can be seen running up from behind her. Authorities said a passenger in the woman's car parked in the driveway tried to get the woman's attention, but the suspect was too quick. He snatched her purse before darting away, throwing the woman to the ground.
Police said the suspect ran off to a car waiting down the street.
Authorities are now asking for anyone who may recognize the suspect to dial 911 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477). Tipsters can also submit information anonymously through the tip line at www.StopCrimeATL.com. There could be a reward for information leading to an arrest.
