ATLANTA — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is responding to a shooting involving an officer on Monday night, authorities said.
According to MARTA Police, there was a shooting involving an officer at 1305 Oakland Lane SW, which shows as the address for The Rev. James Orange Park at Oakland City. The agency specified that the incident did not happen at the Oakland City MARTA Station.
MARTA Police said the investigation is being led by the GBI and that they would be able to provide the details surrounding the incident. The GBI confirmed that MARTA Police asked them to investigate the shooting and is working on gathering information.
It is currently unknown if anyone was hurt. Details are limited at this time, but 11Alive is working to learn more.
