ATLANTA — Police are investigating a shooting near a Downtown Atlanta hotel that left one man critically injured Wednesday night.
APD said the person was shot near 230 Peachtree St. NE around 7:15 p.m., which is in Downtown Atlanta's Hotel District, near The Westin Peachtree Plaza, Hard Rock Cafe, and AmericasMart.
The man had been shot once and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, police said.
Atlanta Police said a possible suspect was detained at the scene.
