ATLANTA — Three people were injured in a shooting near Peachtree Center in Downtown Atlanta on Saturday evening, police said.
Atlanta Police said a 15-year-old, a 16-year-old, and a woman who was an innocent bystander were injured by gunfire. They are still working to find out what led up to the shooting.
Officers were called out to Peachtree Street for a call of several people shot just before 6:15 p.m. When they got there, they said they found all three people with gunshot wounds. All of them were "alert, conscious and breathing," according to police.
They were all taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.
The shooting took place in a busy part of Downtown Atlanta on a Saturday evening when a lot of people are out. The address of the shooting is near The Hub, a busy dining area in Peachtree Center. It is also near AmericasMart and the Hotel District in the city.
