Argument erupts into gunfire at DeKalb gas station, man arrives at fire station after being shot in back: police

STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. — A 33-year-old man and a 22-year-old man are hurt after a shooting at a gas station along Redan Road Thursday afternoon, according to the DeKalb County Police Department.

Officers responded to DeKalb County Fire Rescue Station 24 at 4151 Redan Road just before 3 p.m. The 33-year-old man arrived at the fire station with a gunshot wound to the back, according to the police department. 

Additional officers arrived on scene and found a second victim: the 22-year-old man at the 3300 block of Memorial Drive with a gunshot wound, the police department added.

Both men were taken to the hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. 

According to DeKalb Police's preliminary investigation, the shooting happened at the Amoco Gas Station at the 4700 block of Redan Road. 

Two people inside the gas station got into an argument, and gunshots erupted in the parking lot, police said.

"Detectives are at multiple scenes interviewing witnesses and gathering evidence.  We have no additional information at this time," DeKalb Police added.
