LITHONIA, Ga. — A person is fighting for their life and another person is injured after a dispute escalated into a shooting at a Lithonia shopping plaza Tuesday night, according to the DeKalb County Police Department.
It happened around 9:40 p.m. in the plaza located on Covington Highway. Officers responded to a person shot call where they found two victims.
Police said one of the people is in "critical condition," while the other is expected to recover. Law enforcement believe a dispute between two groups of people ended in gunfire with the two victims caught in between.
Authorities are still investigating the incident. No details were released on whether police have identified a suspect.
