DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Emergency personnel responding to a medical call in DeKalb County were met with gunfire on Thursday, according to DeKalb Fire Rescue.
At this time, information is still limited, but here's what we've managed to confirm thus far:
The incident happened around 2 p.m. at an apartment complex on Paces Park Drive. Officials said no one was injured, and no units were struck.
The patient was taken to the hospital after the arrival of police at the home.
We are still working to gather more information on why the shooting itself took place, who the suspects are, and their connection to the patient inside.
Police have said, though, that the situation is under investigation.
