ATLANTA — Gunshots rang out on the campus of Frederick Douglass High School on Friday after Atlanta Public Schools said a school bus was followed by two people in a car before engaging in a fight.
No students were injured in the gunfire, Atlanta Public Schools officials said.
School officials said that one of the activity school buses was followed from the 9th Grade Academy to the main campus of the high school, where two people who have yet to be identified got out of the vehicle and began fighting several students. That's when APS officials said one of the unidentified adults pulled out a gun and started firing shots in the ar.
Officers assigned to the school responded after they heard several shots fired. In a video obtained by 11Alive, you see several people involved in a physical altercation on the ground in front of a school bus before what appears to be four gunshots ring out. Once you hear gunshots, people in the video run away frantically.

"Please rest assured our students' safety is our top priority, and again, no students sustained injuries. We understand the importance of our students' physical and mental well-being and are committed to providing resources for any student needing assistance processing what transpired today," APS said in a statement.
